About online meeting interpretation

Remote interpretation for virtual and hybrid meetings

Interpreters join your video call or phone meeting so participants in different languages can communicate in real time.

Online meeting interpretation lets you add a professional interpreter to your video conference (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet) or phone call. The interpreter listens and translates so participants who speak different languages can follow and respond. We use the same consecutive or simultaneous techniques as on-site interpretation, adapted for the remote channel: the interpreter joins as a dedicated audio/video participant or on a separate dial-in, depending on the platform and your preference. Pricing is from RM500 per hour in Malaysia or SGD 200 per hour in Singapore, depending on language pair and duration.

This is useful for international board meetings, webinars with multilingual Q&A, hybrid events where some attendees are remote, client or supplier calls, and medical or legal consultations conducted by video. We work in 100+ languages and support major conferencing platforms. No travel or venue is required—interpreters work from a quiet environment with a stable connection. For fully in-person events, see our simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services.

Remote interpretation and video call interpretation have become the norm for cross-border meetings, especially in Malaysia and Singapore where teams often collaborate with regional and global partners. A remote interpreter joins your existing Zoom or Teams link—no special software for participants—and provides real-time translation so everyone can participate in their preferred language.

How it works

Platforms and setup

We join your existing meeting link or set up a dedicated interpreter channel.

You send us the meeting invite (Zoom, Teams, Webex, or similar) and the language pair. We assign an interpreter who joins at the scheduled time. For consecutive interpretation the interpreter will unmute and translate when the speaker pauses; for simultaneous we can provide a separate audio channel (e.g. interpretation track) if the platform supports it. We brief the interpreter on the topic and any glossary so terminology stays consistent.

Supported platforms include Zoom interpretation, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Google Meet. We can also join phone-only conferences via dial-in. For webinars with a large audience, we coordinate with your platform's interpretation or breakout features so that Q&A and polls work smoothly in multiple languages. Request a quote with your platform, date, duration, and languages.

When to use online meeting interpretation

Virtual meetings, webinars, and hybrid events

Remote interpretation for any meeting where participants speak different languages.

Use online meeting interpretation when your meeting or webinar has participants in different countries or language groups who need to understand and be understood in real time. Typical scenarios include quarterly business reviews with regional offices, investor calls with international stakeholders, training sessions for multilingual teams, and client or supplier negotiations where both sides prefer to speak their own language.

For hybrid events—where some attendees are in the room and others join remotely—we can provide an interpreter who supports both the in-room feed and the remote audience, or we can pair with on-site simultaneous interpretation so that remote viewers receive the same language channels via the streaming platform. Contact us with your event format and we will recommend the best setup for Malaysia, Singapore, or cross-border use.
